I don't think you can get much more "spacey" than that.
In any case, if you want to see what they looked like, I should have some schematics left on my Paladin suit. They're sort of like a cross between a regeneration chamber and a cryostasis pod. It kept Allura and Coran alive for ten thousand years!
Hence the "ten thousand, six hundred" part about the Castle of Lion's age. I don't even know how those things stayed working that long! Of course Coran would never let me take one apart, not even to study it.
